GRANDAD'S SLIDES (PART 71) - MYSTERIOUS BLUE BOX

SLIDE 0533

Two gentlemen outside the Hotel Wagner - Probably Switzerland, possibly 1957.

Once again we delve into a whole world of mystery...

Just who were these two fellows?

And what exactly were they doing standing there outside in the sunshine, just outside the property line of the Hotel Wagner...?

Were they standing nonchalantly around whilst planning a hit of some kind?

What do they make of the odd little Englishman who seems to have decided to take their picture at such a vital and critical moment?

Already they are both reaching for their concealed weapons, ready to take out this foolish touriste, unaware that his wife and protector, the silent assassine gris, already has her twin silencers trained upon their hearts from somewhere inside her bush-like camauflage...

Is their getaway vehicle, even as they stand there waiting, already screeching down the road as their compatriot holds the staff at gunpoint and raids the hotel safe of its fine jewels and its horde of large denomination currency?

And is the very name of that hotel a clue in itself?

Are we, in fact, witnessing the last remnants of an evil regime having a last quick drag on a cigarillo before popping off to Paraguay?

And does the man in the light linen jacket run the risk that seconds later he will be flattened onto the grey cobbles by a huge black Citroen as it screams out of the driveway and makes a swift getaway via the nearest Autobahn...?

We need to be told, but, as with so much that is unknowable, such a tale can never be told...
