WHERE DO I GO TO, THERESA?

WHERE DO I GO TO, THERESA?

You talk like you know what you’re doing
When you’re deciding about air
But I think you have personal interests
I’m not sure that you really care

Tearing out the heart of England
To replace it with black fracking pumps
Then pave it all over with concrete
You gave it your backing, you chumps

But where can I go to from now on
When I want clean air to breathe
Your thoughts and policy decisions
Are beginning to make me seethe

Expanding a home-counties airport
The countryside chokes in its swathe
Investing in our global future?
The decision was already made - yes it was

The business decision is pre-eminent
Tho’ I’d prefer to have a planet to live on
Tell the world that it benefits the lot of us
When you invest in a future that’s gone

You did this before with the fracking
Overturning a legitimate ban
I think that you’re going to persuade us
You’re not the natural world’s biggest fan

But where can I go to from now on
When I want clean air to breathe
Your thoughts and policy decisions
Are beginning to make me seethe - yes they are

When it comes to matters environmental
It’s clear that you don’t give a jot
All decisions are just made for profit
Whether the rest of us like it or not - ha, ha, ha

Your personal portfolios keep on rising
Piling up your own mountains of wealth
I hope that you enjoy sitting counting it
When nobody else has got any health

But where can I go to from now on
When I want clean air to breathe
Your thoughts and policy decisions
Are beginning to make me seethe

The planet we need’s slowly dying
And its end’s speeding up that seems sure
Though when somebody tries to help it
You turn up the gas even more

At least when we’re all slowly choking
We’ll all end up in the same boat
And all of your ill-gotten millions
Are not going to help you to float

So where can I go to Theresa
When I want some clean air to breathe
Your thoughtless government decisions
I’ve had them right up to the teeth
