Anyway, that rather scary-looking doll wearing national dress adorned all of her homes for the rest of her life, so I guess that it's a record of a somewhat "significant" or "historical" moment, in family terms at least.
I ended up with a doll - she had a red dress and the biggest feet ever, purely to help her stand up. I hated her!
