GRANDAD'S SLIDES (11) - WOODEN BOX 2 - SS CANBERRA 1964 (PHOTOBLOG)

This set show the dockside crowds waving the ship off from where we seem to have come to the conclusion is most probably Palma, Mallorca, with views of the tugboats, and other boats in the harbour, followed by that most essential pastime of the nautical holidaymaker, the lifeboat drill.

Stop taking all those pictures, Grandad, and get yourself off to your muster station...!

Anyway, they seem to have survived the adventure, judging by the deckchair pictures taken later on, where my Grandmother, rather alarmingly, seems to have joined the "straps down" club.
