For various reasons, Lesser Blogfordshire has recently been playing the longest, shortest, and simplest game of "Only Connect" in history...

Here, presumably because nobody's really waiting for them, are the answers...

"Dirty Harry", "Pacific Heights", "Star Trek IV" and "Vertigo" - They are all movies set and at least partially filmed in and around San Francisco.

QUESTION TWO:

These are all the cities I have connected through on my various journeys to San Francisco over the years.

ROUND TWO:

Unless I've got my facts hugely incorrect, these are The first four California National Parks in reverse order of being signed into law, so the final square should read:

ROUND THREE:

SUNSET BEACH, GREEN ACRES, HYPERION BAY & BEAVER FALLS are all TV shows set in California;
CHINA, OCEAN, LANDS END & BAKER are all Californian Beaches;
MILLER, SEWARD, POINT and BRAGG are all Forts in California;
and
GOLDEN GATE, TOWER, BIXBY CREEK and DUMBARTON are all Californian Road Bridges;
