A little light in the lives of so many people from so many age groups blinked out when this news broke yesterday evening. I know that we can all get too hung up on the loss of people we never really knew, but she was the rather iconic 'Sarah Jane Smith' to three generations of telly viewers, for pity's sake, and will be sadly missed by many.
